There are better forums for Bible questions. This category is too broad. For example, there are people who hang out here looking to do nothing but discourage people who are seeking answers from Christians by including how stupid or bad we Christians are. Such answers really don't help us know exactly why Jesus wept in John 11:35, who the Antichrist is in 1 John 4:3, or why Zippora threw flesh at Moses' feet in Exod 4:25.

I've found other, more private forums better for such things. Still, this is a good place for pot shot evangelism.

It happens all the time here. Half or more of the time by people who are trolling to get Christians to rise to the bait while they get some perverse thrill from making some blasphemous statement about out of context passages.

Then I think they look for serious questions so that they can play the same game from the other end. But hey, it's the religion section and it's a free country, so as long as they don't break the rules, why not?

Cool?I guess. But then it is not just a forum for Bible questions. It is a forum for anything having to do with Spirituality and Religion. So, Bible questions are allowed but not the only required subject for Q&A.

I suppose that would depend on how thick of a skin you have. It would also depend on how much of a foundation in scripture you already have. There is a huge variety of folks with varying depths of understanding of the scripture...but your also going to take pot luck on the people who don't believe in God, or the bible, those of other religions, the goof balls who just want to make comments and every other kind of person you can think of.
If, after hearing that, your willing to wade thru all the junk, you might just come out with a nugget or two that you can use.

Yes it will be cool. You have the right to ask anything you want. Of course you will need to be prepared for all the mean things people say about God, The Bible or anything that has to do with religion.

Yes. There are alot of people that have much knowledge of the bible that are answering questions in this forum. However there are also alot of people that will mislead you. Dont just take peoples word for it when it comes to the Holy Bible. You have to:Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun vain and profane babblings- for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 2 Timothy 15,16. God loves you.

It would be a great discussion to start because even the people who aren't saved will be reading the discussion and the message might get through to them anyway. Be prepared for some negative responses too, but don't focus on those.

I'll support you.

Yes, so that Christians and non-Christians seeking answers in the Bible can be guided along their way. So that all can witness the truth of the Word of God.

I do. It would be great to take the focus off of some of the judgemental and bashing questions on both sides, and do something with some meaning.

Expect some really far-out answers, but you'll get some great ones too.

I'd play anyway! :)
