you have not mentioned how old the kid is, is the kid quite grown up, then can take tuitions or teach younger children for some lumpsum money and can do errands for elderly and needy persons, help sick patients etc. depending on the capacity that kid can take up, surely you can fetch that amount for the kid to achieve her goal.

Maybe she can run a garage sale for her parents and other family members and then take a percentage of the sales as payment. It would be like a consignment garage sale.

babysit, recycle cans, recycle bottles, make & sell crafts (such as corn hot pads), walk dogs, go shopping for elderly people in the nursing home, make & sell stepping stones, mow the lawn, etc.
