Competitive enough? Umm do you mean "competent" enough as in they have the brains/intellect to be nurses? Christ the spelling on this website is atrocious. Is it me, or do only the morons come here and type in illiterate abortions of English?
My experience shows that Filipino nurses are competent. There's always a bad apple in the bunch. Of course there will be dipsh*ts who somehow passed their nursing board test. I've only run into a few bad Filipino nurses. There are crappy nurses everywhere of all races, colors, etc. It's not right to single this group out. However, I feel that they should improve on their language skills of English if they want to work in the States. It does frustrate patients and can potentially be dangerous, especially w/ medications that sound and are spelled alike.

Here is your answer!!!! three filipino nurses were assaulting a 92 year old man in Canada.
There is NO nursing college or university that is accrediated by other countries. The Australian Government used to endorse 3 nursing colleges , but they were caught cheating on gov't exams. So the Australian gov't does not accredate any nursing school in the Philippines.
The only reason why filipinas are hired is because of MONEY!!!!!!!!!
They are brought in on 2 year work visa, paid slave labor wages,, kept 10 in a room,,, and kicked out after 2 years,, they stay if they can get pregnant or scam somebody into marrying them

Why focus on Filipino's? Why focus on nurses? What about Filipino doctors or dentists. What would make you feel this nationality would be any less competent than anyone else? There are many great doctor's of this nationality working in the US. Why would nurses be any different?

foreigners might want to continually do not overlook that nurses from the Philippines, male or lady are properly experienced, discovered with the English language placing out from the grade college, have the unique pinoy personality of being concerned for the ill, the elderly, and the needy. the feeling of warm temperature, friendliness, and insurance to preserve them even as in sickness. I must be pronounced right here, that pinoy nurses undergo no longer in straight forward words the academic criteria, yet to boot the on- the-interest criteria earlier commencement. it isn't consumer-friendly to change right into a nurse contained in the Philippines. for certain, all registered nurses in this usa are the desirable experienced high quality-smart.

In my opinion, 1 out of 20. I don't mean to be disrespectful. They don't come with the skills and knowledge base of American nurses, but with motivation can learn.
