From one who was there, and lost all his men, and lived to tell, you are very welcome. I was in Afghanistan in 2002. 19 yrs old. We had and are still having a hell of a time over there. We(the armed forces) need all the support we can get. On another note though, If I had the choice to go and fight knowing what would happen all over again, I would go in a heart beat. No thanks necceccary. We are just doing our job. (Semper Fi!)

Former Navy Nurse here says Thank you; appreciate your appreciation!! And I say Thank you to the vets and active service people as well.
And don't forget them when they come home. Especially the wounded, physically and mentally wounded. Go to the nearest VA Hospital or clinic and volunteer; or donate craft kits, books, magazines, clothing, toiletries, snacks and prizes for the bingo games; driving someone to an appointment; stamps, stationary; time just to sit and talk, and so on and on....
Again, Thank you!

Your welcome for starters, but honestly I loved working with such high quality motivated people so much I'd have done it for cheap - you know "cheap" like just a little more than what they actually paid me. It sucks being a civilian now & can't get over how unmotivated people can twiddle around waiting for a paycheck. Seriously, everyone that serves gets their own reward out of it one way or another, regardless of how the public may feel about you. If you want to redirect your thanks, I'd go straighten out the folks on here that talk trash about soldiers & can't understand our mission or committment to getting it done. Those people peve me off so bad.

I simply thank the soldiers for the sacrifices they make. I don't agree with the war, and I have no idea if it's about freedom, oil, religiion or even gas. Who knows? Only Bush really does...

Either way, I'm glad we have you guys! It takes a lot to sacrifice.

Nice that you all love the US vets, how about mentioning some of the other nations troops too? Many of us face the same predudice and hate for supporting you, and get nowherenear the support.

From a man in uniform, Thank You for your words and support. If you know anyone that wants to join our ranks, encourage them. The more of us there are, the shorter our rotations will be and the more time we can spend with our families.
