Almost...when I was 17....passed a trooper doing 75 in a 55 seen him hit the brakes....I opened it up trying to find a place to turn....in the middle of a curve I turned down a side road and thought I had lost him....how ever he caught up with me.....followed the dust trail down the gravel road I had chosen thinking he would go straight.....now that I am with LE......I think back at what an Idiot I was trying to avoid him.....what if he had lost it trying to catch me or hit some one else......

Unless you are on a high powered motorcycle being chased by a car cop, and you live in an area without police air support, or you are a champion runner, don't even think about it. They catch most people who try to run. And they find you in the most interesting ways :)

yes and no! i've gotten away on several occasions but got caught once by my dad later. seems i used my dads car as a getaway and the whole town (including the cops) knew about it the next day. my dad found out after he got pulled over on his way to work and remnants of what i'd stolen were still inside the car on the backseat. luckily he knew the state trooper and assured the cop i'd be dealt with accordingly. and i was. i'm 49 years old and i still hear about that one. some instances i just plain outran them. no helicopters back then. i've lost cops before only to wind up getting caught later driving right by the guys that were chasing me originally. talked myself right outa that one.
