Equivalent to: Damn! Literally, it is an expression based off of emotional interest, often used to heighten a point or other verbal expression. It can be used to convey verbally an idea of either the physical pain of an individual, or even to simple express his/her interest and of something simply by using it to describe his/her sense of enthusiasm. Confused yet? Good. But then again, after reading this I'm sure you'll be using this expression in the proper context. :)

Dang is a variation of damn. This is shortened slang for damnation... (as in hell and damnation) used as a curse word.

It's a bit more polite than damn, and only really used in the US

It means sort of the same thing as DURN, or DAG-NAB-IT or DAWGONE.
All are used as a milder form of DAMN.

The Free Dictionary gives this meaning:
dang (dng) interj. Used to express dissatisfaction or annoyance.
adv. & adj. Damn.
