Yes. I would not dare to disobey Him. No questions. No arguments.

Your question is so intelligent, confusing and embarrassing . But I'll take the risk to answer it. First from the point of view of religions, it is written in all religion books you have to obey God's orders. See Abra-am, for example, who was about to kill his son; another example is Joshua who killed the people of Ariha. These two people were asked or ordered by God to kill somebody. The Koran is also full of such things. However, this was in the old days because God was an absolute totalitarian and dictator. Second from the point of view of evolution , now that God has converted to democracy and humanitarianism He wouldn't order or ask anybody to kill anybody else. Even if He Himself wanted to kill or murder, there are many people all over the world who would try hard to prevent or stop it. When the sinner woman was caught red-handed and brought to Jesus to judge her according to the Bible, he bent down and wrote on earth and said "let the sinless one of you first throw a stone at her." Then he said to the sinner woman "Neither will I judge or condemn you." Isn't it the most civilized situation Christ wants us to learn.

This sort of instruction from God would conflict with the teachings of Jesus, most specifically the Golden Rule and the "turn the other cheek" concept. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies. Therefore, I would say that the Christian concept of God would not be compatible with instructions to kill. I would advise all Christians who think God is telling them to kill someone to reconsider either the validity of the instructions or their belief in the Christian God.

As for the god of some other religion instructing a person to kill...I do not have the refined knowledge of other concepts of God necessary to answer.

NO I would not. Because it would not be God talking to me but something else. God, at least the God I learned about from the New Testament, does not allow people to kill each other.

First of all, you didn't say how God would give you the order. To make sure that you're legally protected you would have to have the order in writing. The signature would have to be witnessed by a licensed magitrate.
Otherwise God doesn't tell anybody anything. It's all in the imagination..

The god I believe in would never ask me to kill anyone. It's GOD, the creator of life and bringer of death - why would good need me to do anything like that? Maybe that god needs to get up off his lazy butt, turn off Oprah and start being a god again...

No. The christian god has ordered death to men, women, children, and animals if you read the old testament. He had no problem telling people to kill without mercy. If someone believes in the bible, how can you accept one part of it, and ignore what you don't want to acknowledge in other parts of it?
As I'm not a christian fortunately, I don't have to believe in the bible, which tells people to love one another on one hand, while telling them to kill unbelievers, witches, heretics, animals, etc...
on the other.

If there is no God, then does killing matter? After all, if we weren't created, then we are just here by a freak accident, making life pretty much meaningless, and some day we will die and be forgotton anyway.
