Insert test strip. Be sure it is the meter is coded correctly for the strip.Prick your finger with a new lancet. squeeze your finger to produce a larger blood drop and apply blood to the strip.

it would depend on the meter. but here goes a generalization. 1st you stick your finger with a lancelet. then with your other hand slowly squeeze the finger you pricked . then with the blood drawn deposit it on the strip of the meter. .wait up to 30 seconds and there you go
