It seems everybody from Catholics, Methodists, Moslems, child molesters, wife beaters, etc. say they are going to heaven. My feeling is it will be a lot different than what the majority of us think. What do you think?

Yes, I know exactly what heaven is like. Yesterday my wife of 40 years cooked a heavenly meal of grilled salmon, fresh green beans, a large salad, and for desert we had angel food cake with strawberries and raspberries and blueberries picked from the back yard. After that we sat on the porch and listened to the rain fall on the metal roof then lit a fire in the fireplace and went to sleep in each others arms.
Heaven? Been there done that and when it is time, I'll be ready to die and fertilize the oak trees that will make my great grand children's houses.

I agree with you there! "Heaven" will be a lot different than what most of us think it will be. Many people think that when we die, we go right to Heaven, or Paradise because that is what the Savior told the thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in Paradise." However, if you've studied the New Testament, then you will remember that when Mary Magdalene (the first person to see the resurrected Savior) saw Jesus he told her, "Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father..." Now, why would he tell Mary that he hadn't ASCENDED to his Father yet when his spirit had just spent the last 3 days in "paradise'? It's because "paradise" and "heaven" are two different places! "Paradise" or what I will call the "Spirit World' is where our spirits go after we die and while we await the Resurrection (the reunion of our body and our spirit - at that point we will live forever). We won't be going to Heaven until we are resurrected and will live forever. And because of the Savior's selfless sacrifice in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the Cross, as well as his glorious and literal resurrection, ALL people who have ever lived on this earth will be resurrected and live forever, therefore, even wicked and evil people (wife beaters, child molesters, Hitler) are correct when they say that they are "saved", but they have only been saved from physical death, meaning that someday (not any day soon), their body and spirit will be reunited, never to die again. But they are not saved from spiritual death, or separation from Heavenly Father.

Anyway, to sum things up, when we die our bodies are buried in the ground or cremated, etc., but our spirit stays here on earth. We have all of our memories of our life on earth, we can communicate with other spirits and sometimes, if it is permitted by those in charge we can communicate with our loved ones who are still alive. But we won't be seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus in the Spirit World. The first time we'll see Jesus will be AFTER we have been resurrected and are standing before Jesus to be judged according to the way we lived our lives here on earth.

At that point, we will be assigned to either Heaven or Hell. But, Heaven is made up of three glories, Paul teaches this in 1 Corinthians 15: 40-42.

The highest glory, or the celestial (think of how bright the sun is), is where our Heavenly Father reigns Supreme - this part of God's kingdom is where those who have accepted Jesus Christ AND his sacrifice (meaning they have repented of their sins – repent doesn’t just mean to say “I’m sorry” – it means that you have a change of heart, you promise to never do those things again and then you really don’t ever do those things again). The people who will live with Heavenly Father forever are also those who have kept the commandments: meaning the 10 Commandments that God gave Moses on Mt. Sinai and that Moses taught to the Israelites AND the commandments that the Savior taught during his lifetime – those commandments also include being baptized by immersion by one who has the authority to do so – just like Jesus, the ONLY perfect person to walk the earth was baptized by John the Baptist, even though Jesus didn’t have any sins to have washed away, he was still obedient to his Father’s commandment that we need to be baptized in order to be with Him.

The second glory, or the terrestial (think of how bright the moon is), is where people who lived good lives but didn’t want to be baptized will go. OR, they were baptized but weren’t valiant in their testimony of Jesus Christ (they were ashamed when people found out they were Christian). Jesus will visit the Terrestial kingdom often and teach them.

The third glory, or the telestial (think of how bright the stars are, and how some stars are dimmer than others), is where people who didn’t keep the commandments (they stole, they committed adultery, they fornicated) and didn’t accept Jesus Christ will go. The Holy Ghost will visit this part of the kingdom often and teach them.

"Hell" is where Satan, his followers, Cain, and the really, really, really bad people - people who are beyond repentance will go. But Christ is merciful, and can forgive many things,

Now, you can either study more about my answer to your question, and sincerely ask God if my answer is true.... or you can totally disregard my answer. It's your choice, but I still know that what I've shared with you is the truth

probably won't be any space left , it was not designed for all these souls who believe that they have reservations, People are going to be bribing the maitre dee, and it will be a real estate agents Paradise, not to mention the problems with the different religions not wanting to live near each other or getting into "I told you so" screaming matches over back fences and from front porches, so not what people will expect but just more of like here is, because a soul do not change

I think it will be great because God says...

Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the things before will not be remembered, nor come to mind.

Psalms 16:11 You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And the sea no longer is. 2 And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying out, nor will there be any more pain; for the first things passed away. 5 And He sitting on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful. 6 And He said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who thirsts I will give of the fountain of the Water of Life freely. 7 He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

No human can perceive the infinite. But you can savor some of the fruit bending over the wall before you are on the other side. There is only one truth. Of course there are ridiculous claims by people.

The truth exists by itself irrespective of people. It is up to the individual to find out for himself.

I believe that it will be absolutely beautiful. I don't think anyone can really do a description justice. If you want a better description than that, I suggest you read the Book of Revelation in your bible. John seems to do a pretty good job of describing it.
