Because they never have tried to prove that he doesn't exist. Contrary to atheistic beliefs it is very difficult to understand how and why we are here. A lot of scientists even admit, that given the complexity of our world and the universe, it is unwise to say that we have no creator. The people who don't believe in God are the ones who have chosen to not use their intellect. I am a Christian and I have faith in God. I also choose to read every major scientific discovery that I can find that might disprove that there is a God. All I can see in scientific discoveries is men and women finding out what God has done. Science cannot disprove God. I don't believe that it can prove that God does exist either. One major correlation between science and the Bible is that the Earth did have a beginning and it will have an end. That may seem like a simple concept to us now but at the time Genesis was written you would think that they wouldn't have come to that philosophical conclusion on their own. Where most people make their error in judgement is when they read the story in Genesis and dismiss it as some wild fairytale. It begins by saying that in the beginning there was no Earth and no light. This matches Big Bang Theory. The next thing is that God created light which is also the next step in the Big Bang. God divided the light from the darkness next. I guess you could say this was the gathering together of mass and energy caused by the force of gravity or God, take your pick they are both correct. The footnotes in my Bible refer to a "Day" as a creative period. Not a day like we think of it. If you study it through you will find that every step of creation is in the same sequence as what the Big Bang Theory implies. Also the creation of life is in the correct sequence. It's a little bit too much of a coincidence for me to comfortably sit back and say science has already disproven God and anybody who believes in him is a crowd following moron. I believe it's the atheists who have turned their learning ability off. Not Christians. Not me anyway.

Because some people must like the idea of living life and being done with it. The idea of being here by accident and just going through the charade of life is appealing to them. Or maybe other people are angry because God gave man free will, so they blame God because they have been hurt. It won't serve them well in the end, but there's that free will issue again.

definitely!!! It advance into something greater formal, yet I used to speak to Him regardless of the reason and because I stored forward to my own ambition and desires, whilst He gave me avertisements I saved none and did my way going into further and added trubles! Into an end, interior of a deep depresion, He saved my existence (!!!) the very 2nd I left away of all my deep needs... There, empty coronary heart, i advance into full of God's easy and Peace and Love - an entire New existence, a clean physique, a clean resourceful and prescient over the final and the destiny :) :) :) definite, he's my Saviour!!!

Perhaps there isn't a god. Can you prove or disprove its existence? If you can't, then you cannot fault anyone for believing or not believing in the existence of god.

some people think there is no God because they cannot fathom that He can make us, the animals, the universe, and everything else. They also ask the question, 'if He made us, who made him?'
They will never be satisfy.

For me personally its because I have never seen any evidence of His existence.... and no, humans or the earth or the stars or rainbows or butterflies are not evidence of His existence in my opinion. All these things can be explained by less nonsensical reasoning. Rational thought is, and I suspect always will be, preferable to faith for me.

Because some people believe in science. They believe in what can be proved through observation and experiment, and do not use a 2,000 year old book to dictate their worldview.
