My mom is extremely over protective so i dont really discuss with her my social life. If start talking to a guy on the phone she automatically assumes that there is something going on. I want her to trust me.. I dont want her to thinki would mess myself up like that. How should I tell her that without saying BACK OFF? thnx sooo much

You sound very mature for your age. What you have to do is sit her down, and tell her you know that she worries about you,and that you want to be able to talk to her about things.you must open up to your mum, communication stops all sorts of arguements.Let her know how sensible you are,and that you are not planning on ruining your life. That is your mums main concern that you will get yourself pregnant and waste your life.she is just trying to protect you.You have to re-assure her that you have your life planned out,or ideas of what you are going to do,and that you would not jeopardise your future over some lad.

Be honest, tell your mom you love her and respect her with all your heart and would never disappoint her. But at the same time, if you have a problem, ask mom for advice (certain issues of course). She'll come to realize that you are genuine when you can also discuss issues that may need her attention. Teenagers have issues and she knows it and to keep all inside, she may think that you are hiding something and not telling the truth.

Good luck and stay innocent!!!!!!

I love young people! this is the first generation (under 25 or so) to have real friends of the opposite sex. Just friends with no "romance". Some of us old folks are very proud of you guys.
Invite your friends over and let your mom get to know them and see you all together. Play games and eat and watch TV. The things friends do. Order a pizza and rent a movie...
She'll get it with time. IF, instead of telling her to back off, you invite her into your life. Parents (including me) fear what they don't know. We get all these pictures in our heads about what "could" be going on. Show her the truth.
Good luck.
peace.

Just tell her that I am just friends with these boys and I would never cross the line with these boys and ruin my future. I have hopes and dreams and plans mom and they don't include have a relationship with a boy at 14. Mom I need you to trust me and the decisions that I am making if I need you I know I can count on you.

Just tell her that she's right, and that you appreciate her looking out for you. You should explain why it is easier for you to be around guys and that you wouldn't think of direspecting yourself or her rules like that. Chances are she will understand and in time loosen up. If you've never given her a reason to distrust you you should be set.

you should open up and talk to your mom she is responding in such a manner because she is in the dark about your social life introduce her to a few of your closest friends to break the ice remember trust is a two-way street give and take.
