Personally, I love a groomed look. A nice short cut that you can run you're fingers through, no cue balls for me thank you.
Hockey hair is not sexy. A guy shouldn't have hair as long as their girlfriend, especially if they don't take care of it like girls do.

Depends on the age of the guy. Some are really hot with long hair pulled back at the nape of the neck. I don't go for mullets or punked out hair that is an unnatural color.
Also bald is beautiful on the right person (Sean Connery)

Honestly there's no clear answer to that. Girls have different taste and it all depends on the type of girl you want. I personally go for guys with a little bit longer hair (like adam lazzara) or shortish and spiked (Billie Joe)

Haircuts has never been an issue to me, even if its being cut too short u can almost see the scalp. Its the hair that matters, i.e as long as its clean, smells nice and non-greasy..

For a prep/jock extremely curly hair seems good. Like, i don't love him, yet pretty a lot like Nick Jonas' haircut. in case you don't love that variety of hair reduce purely short seems fantastic a jock.

I got the mullet/ mo-hawk look happening... its pretty long at the back and shaved number 2 on the sides... and the top is cut at about finger thickness.
Its a badass haircut!!

i think everyone elses pretty much covered this fac... different girls like different things... but i like longer hair that you can run your fingers through i like it straight and long like to the middle of the ear and flipped out at the end
