No, for some people there is no one for them, and things will get even worse for them if they try to pretend that there is.
For a few people, they are so lovable that any one can get along with them.
There is no love goddess who has someone special for you that will appear if you're really, really good and do everything you were told to do.

I don't really believe in soul mates. I don't think there's just one person out there for everyone. I think if you get along with one person 80% of the time and you guys have that much in common then the other 20% both of you can work on it together. If you sit and wait for that perfect person you're going to miss out on lots of good people.
