My four yr. old son does the same thing. Also it is called a summerpepper according to my daughter who called them that until she was 5. Aren't they so much fun?

Kids do that! Just childproof your home to keep him safe.

Idea: Tumbling classes! These are fun. You can make it a rule that he may jump and tumble about only while he's there, on a mat or outside. Then when he breaks the rule at home place him in a time out for four minutes. If you remain consistent for a week or so the targeted behavior will stop.

Because he can.

When he is 7, he will hold his breath until you panic, because he can.

When he is 11, he will see how hard someone can punch him in the stomach and not barf, because he can.

When he is 15, he will find the freakyish friends to hang out with, because he can.

When he reaches 30....he will thank you for everything you have done for him and tell you that he has turned out to be such a successful man because of the things you taught him.....because he can.

Little kids have alot of energy to burn off and they do it by doing some pretty crazy things, but I wouldn't worry about somersaults since it is exercise that he needs to be healthy. But I would try to get him to do fun things with you too. He needs to do a bunch of things other than that....but at least he is moving about and being active.

lol....finally, someone made me laugh. Hmmmm...well I'm not a child pychologist and I probably wouldn't need to be one to say maybe he just....enjoys it? I mean...maybe you're reading too much into it. Instead of it being "fun" in your mind, it's a "problem". But then again I could be wrong...hmmm...regardless, sounds like an outgoing, fun kid!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I know what you're going through !! My 3 year old constantly runs in the house instead of walking. I think it has something to do with the fact they are toddler boys. They can't help themselves!!

He is just being an energetic little boy. Is he hurting anyone? No. So leave him be.

Because he can! If he just learned how, the novelty will wear off eventually.
