This verse is not standing as completed sentence. Quran verses are not sentences that start and end between a starter and end point.

The subject of this verse starts at 4:60 and God is addressing those who claim to be believers in Islam as those say that they are Muslims but their hearts do not hold faith.

So God as the Just did not punish them, but used logic to guide them to the truth and this is way 4:66 starts with IF so that they can pick choices.

So I really wonder what do you seek with your question and I advise you read an explanation starting from where the subject starts

I appreciate your interest anyway

This is a stupid question if Allah is so almighty let him fight the war. Killing innocent children you call it dying for Allah trust me that is poverty talking.
The rich people who sponsor those crap should go die themselves rather than those who have nothing to live for and are just trying to make a better life for the family.
Let God fight his battles ok

Allah does not love trangressors. If you are speaking in the terms of fighting, if the enemy trangressed limits first, then I will defend my religion without transgressing limits. Those who die fighting for the cause of Islam without transgressing limits will be rewarded. Those who die by transgressing limits, example suicide bomber, will be punished in the hereafter.

There is no False God. Some Christians are so illiterate, ignorant, dumb. They would just say anything about God and other religions. Where they have no respect for their own religion what so ever.

Go die quietly on your own, and stop killing people to appease your stupid idea of God. Go ahead, your 72 virgins are waiting for you.

why, of course..if any fight for the cause of God, whether he wins or die, he shall be given a great reward.......just like jesus, he died for the cause of God, and his teaching " no greater love is there for one who offers his life for his brother".....that's one trait the medal of honor is given to u.s. soldiers who showed exemplary actions, not by killing so many, but for the unselfish sacrifice of the lost of his life or probability for protecting and saving the life of his comrades.

I guess they would or their wouldn't be so many suicide bombers out there killing the innocent. You THINK you are dying for Allah, but you're really dying for his opposite.
