Apple Cider Vinegar does make hair shiny. I drink it every day. It tastes nasty, but the health benefits are outstanding. I was having problems with my bladder and colon(pain and bloating) also my skin was breaking out . Since I started with the Apple Cider Vinegar... everything feels wonderful. Here is the link that I found that started me on drinking it.

It may not make it shiney, but it is a residue remover and an acid balancer...just as someone else said it can irritate the scalp from over use...Use on damp freshly shampooed hair. Just pour it on and let sit for 5-15 minutes then rinse. If you need to you can put a conditioner after wards like normal...rinse out/leave in whatever you normally use. Same can be said for baking soda...mix a small amount in your hand with your normal shampoo and it helps remove product build up as long as it isn't heavy.
Good Luck :):)

As a short-term solution, yes. Long-term use, however, will dry your hair and possible irritate the scalp. Use sparingly.
