why do boys choose their friends over their girlfriend?

wat difference does it make if a boy chooses his friends word over his girlfriend wen she knew him just as long as his friends?

it is about masks, when you are with your bf you have to have this gf mask, you cannot be yourself entirely, and with friends you can take off that mask.
