I'm a violist, and I'd love to learn to play the Cello (and, as part of my major - Music Education, I'll need to learn it for String Pedagogy so I can teach Cellists); I've tried a little, but orientation is somewhat difficult for violinists and violists. I've been playing the Viola for 9+ years. It's great; keep it up, and try to push your playing ability.

My brother was in band, and some kid played the cello and was really good! I overheard him say it really hurts.....but is worth it! Good luck in your musical days! P.S. I might go into band next year, I am thinking of playig the flute? What do you think?

I had to play it for a semester in college. I like the instrument but it really hurt my fingers!
