In our human strength do WE have the power to "save a soul"??? Are we arrogant enough to think that WE are the one's doing any "saving"? Why do people get frustrated?

If you DO think that WE have the power, then what do you do with the verse that says, "No one comes to Me unless the Father draw him" ???

One of the things that I enjoy about Y/A is the wide chasm between questions.
Some are hateful and trying to incite an argument.
Some are down right blasphemy.
And then there are questions, statements really, that warm the heart of this Christian Pastor.
The depth of understanding shows that Christianity is alive and well.
Your question is one of those and I thank God for the question and you.
May God Bless You.

We do not save souls but indirectly as one who warns of a fire and provides a route to safety. In THAT capacity only do we save - Jesus provided the means of salvation..., we just point the way.

i think we, as Christians have the power to get someone saved, but when it does happen the person has to stay with it and leave the rest up to God because he can work it out.

God saves the person not us. God draws the person with the Holy spirit. We don't know who they are so we be a witness to all, we are to be a light to show the way

No, we don't have that power, we have the ability to express through Christ his love for anyone which he saves the soul.

Because in their own selfish pride they think that God will reward them for bringing someone to Christ.
Unfortunately, for every person they sour against God, it takes away 5 that they brought to God. It's that heavenly point system, Catholics know more about it than plain ol christians...
However, the best witness is just to live how Christ taught.

GOD gave us free-will. WE have the choich. We can choose to accept HIM or reject HIM. Others certainly have influience in that decision. You CAN HELP to save a soul, but only that soul can choose to be saved.

as Christians, we have the responsibility to tell people about God, because they can't be saved if they don't know about him. God is the only one who can save them, but we can tell them to ask to be saved.
