I have never really thought about this one to be honest, but in my opinion, the reason they make the boxes square is it is easier to stack them on shelves and in your freezer. I have had pizzas that are wrapped in clear wrap that i have ordered from my kids school and they do not fit well in the freezer and they do not stack that easy without falling over. That is the reason i think they are in square and not round.

Probably because a square box is more easier to make than a round box. And a pizza is more easier to take out from a sqaure box without sacrificing the presentation of the food.

Actually I have been to a few pizza restaurants in Australia where the pizza comes in round boxes!!!

Pizza Hut's 4 for all is a square pizza but other than that . . . who knows why?

Have you ever tried to make a round thing out of cardboard...it's pretty tough. Plus, if it were round, it wouldn't really be a box.

I myself used to own a pizzeria.... The reason they are square instead of round is because of Shipping and folding purposes... I thought that was a great question....Good Job.....
