Should we stay out of the Middle East?

The United States has been pretty busy in the Middle East. Should we continue to walk over them and mess up their culture while look for terrorists, or should we just get out and stay out?

The point isn't so much to look for terrorists as you say, but to change the culture so it is not accepting to the motivations causing terrorism. That's THE long term objective that is partially military & partially diplomatic, and the way we win the war on terror/Islamic extremism, but it cannot be done without engagement (diplomaticlly AND militarily). Killing bin Laden for instance would accomplish nothing in preventing future attacks.

It's WAY past too late for us to stay out or to even get out. We gave up any hope of staying out of the Middle East years ago during Desert Storm. We're there, and that's the fact. No amount of our bitching or complaining is going to change that fact. We need to continue our mission of "Iraqi rehab" as I call it. With out, we're just opening our doors for another 9/11.

Yes, we need to get out. We invaded their country and bad things have been done by BOTH sides. It is time to stop making the same mistakes of the past, we need to EVOLVE......cavemen fought! Think about how much money this war is taking away from education and our children's future!

Since the Barbary Pirate wars we have had troubles out of that region. Ignoring the region means nothing but to welcome another attack. They have a long history of showing they have no intentions of leaving us alone.
