I have always been in great shape, very athletic, etc. Since I had a baby, it's been hard to get motivated. I lost most of my pregnancy weight, that's been over a year now. I have about 10 lbs to go and need to firm up. I always say I'm going to do it...etc...and then find an excuse. Escpecially with nutrition, I used to be very strict what I ate, now I binge eat junkfood and feel awful! I was never this way before! Any advice or help?

Check this story and i bet you'll hit the gym tomorrow morning.

I had a beautiful baby girl, but kept going bigger at a faster rate than she did. I gained 36 pounds, and my nightmare started. My husband loves me a lot, but i became a slob. Wore tights and big t-shirts all day long, cuz i didn't want to accept that i went from a 6 to a 14. We started drifting apart, because i didn't want to go out looking that fat, didn't want to have sex, and knew i had to do something, but just didn't. Then a call from hell, saying my husband was having an affair with a skinny, 5 years younger woman!!! Let me tell you, i lost the excess weight and some more, crying instead of eating. Finally, he "came to his senses", and i forgave him, cause i knew it was my fault too.
Now i have a better body than any 20 year old, hot the gym every day at 6a.am. before the baby wakes up. Do 1 hour spinning cycling and 1 hour circuit training, and wear the sexiest outfits i can find, but the best part is that I LOVE MYSELF again. So go to the gym and do something, NOW!!!!

Could you be bored? Do you stay home with the baby? Could you be spending more time in the kitchen now that you have a child?--easy to access the junk food when your time is much shorter and demanded by a little one. I suggest setting a small goal--"I will work out for 15 minutes each morning." or "I will only snack on 'ice cream' once each week." When you have accomplished that step, take the next one. At least you will be moving in the right direction and not kicking yourself. Hope this helped.

Find a neighbor, friend, co-worker who wants to do the same thing. Start a contest(ie: BIGGEST LOSER) in your neighborhood or among friends or family. Make it fun, put a little wager ($, bragging rights, wash the winners car all summer,etc.). We started this at my work and it has been so much fun. I even had a little side bet with my supervisor. Some of the other co-workers are betting amongst each other to see who wins. Make it fun! When given a challenge most humans accept it! I CHALLENGE you to take this advice! CHALLENGE yourself! Psst, if the hubby put on a little pregnancy weight challenge him too, and you's both win. Good Luck! I've lost 9lbs., already. Plus I stand a chance to win $300.

Loosing baby fat is tough, congrats. You are so close to being to your goal why blow it. Keep going! You can do it, for you! If you don't like who you are it will effect life around you as well. I lost my baby fat I now I enjoy telling people I'm a mom. Most moms stay heavy, be proud of your accomplishments. If I can do it you can, besides what is 10 lbs. Stay away from the junk food and on to the treadmill.
How was that to motivate you. Truly nice job on the babyfat

Oh my gosh, I know how you feel! I didn't have a baby but it's the same situation for other reasons.

Your best bet is a detox program. They are strict, but they work, especially for loving junk food. No one loves junk food more than me, but I did this detox program, and you don't even crave it anymore. The problem is the cravings, and if you can get rid of those, you'll be fine.

After detox, you'll feel much better and have more energy. Then you'll be more inspired to exercise.

This is the one I used:

First, ask yourself why you are binge eating. Are you depressed at some situation in your life? If so you need to address the cause of your binge eating first. Once you resolve the cause for your overeating you will probably find the desire to exercise and eat better returns to your old self. And once you start and see results it really encourages you to continue

Think about your child. The longer you keep the weight on, the less healthy your are. I know u want to be healthy for your child. start with small things, like no sodas or no candy and 20 minutes of exercise 3 times a week and work up from their.

I think you are definitely on the right track..for motivation....try getting a photo of yourself pre-pregnancy and stick it to your refridgerator door. It will remind you to not eat junk food. It will also provide motivation to get back to where you were. It is okay to have a cheat day now and then..so don't feel guilty..but don't let it get out of hand. Good luck.

Think of what you will be teaching your kid, and will your kid be ashamed of their fat momma picking them up at school? (Remember "Whats eating Gilbert Grape")
