God is used to explain everything unexplainable, so I guess God created God, or he's God, so he's always existed. I love circular logic.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ. But looking at this another way...If there was a big bang or evolution ...it has to come from somewhere. You don't drive down the road and all of a sudden dirt explodes in front of you and something of substance appears. Dirt, or lizards or apes had to be created by something. That is where the theory of creation came in but everyone said it was too much like God and threw it out of the schools. We don't explain God like that because we didn't just poof into existence, like nothing poofs into existence.

Hebrews 7:1-3
1) For This Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2) To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3) Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Thank you Lord Jesus for your divine understanding. Amen
You see God did not just poof into the world, and we did not just poof into existence. My God has no beginning of days, and Mary is not his mother. God is not born. My God has no descendents, My God always was and always will be. My God has no end of life. You want to know his origin, listen
Revelation 1:8
8) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which is to come, the Almighty.
So stop listening to that false teacher and so called apostle of yours.....get on your knees........repent......and seek God.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray for you. Amen

I suppose one poof is as good as any other if it is just a poof.
Have you considered God, then God the father, then Grandgod and Greatgrandgod. Maybe that's how it happened.
How it happened is an issue for science. Why it happened is a matter of faith.

I don't believe there is an answer to that. That's why I believe that some people believe in God and others believe in science. The only thing we can be sure of is that it all started somewhere. Call it whatever you like.

Do you understand a void or the absence of existence you do exist it can be disputed but by your own knowledge you exist can you imagine nothing when I ask you to imagine nothing I not talking about the color black there is no color no light no dark void and we only see black because we can't comprehend what we are seeing so why do you think you can comprehend something like that

This is a question many people ask, and as a Christian, I have also thought about it. However, God just Is and to question it will give you a headache. When standing in the sight of God when we go to Heaven, all of our questions will be answered, not in words but in feeling. Instead of questioning where God came from take that energy and put it towards believing what we will have in store for us in Heaven. We can only imagine what it will be like and I am certian it is more than we can possibly dream.
Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

We don't. We don't think further than God, we just say He created the world whereas He Himself is eternal. And if people find that illogical we answer that our finite human minds can simply not comprehend the Divine. It's as simple as that.

it is the same answer to the question about a universe that has no god.
in the end of going backwards in time you have to accept that it always was.
It is faith and very anti science as it violates the first LAW of thermodynamics:
matter can neither be created nor destroyed!
so a decision of faith is the correct answer!
