Maybe it is the production of water that the world might end. Many religions think so. The bible says so?

We do not know when the end of the world will come. That is why it is very important for Christians to spread the Good News of Jesus, so that others may also be saved. I know when the end does come I will not be afraid because of what I know. Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Matthew 24:

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Revelation 1:

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Yes.

2 Pe.3:10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which THE HEAVENS SHALL PASS AWAY with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, THE EARTH ALSO and the works that are therein shall be burned up (Re.20:11).

2 Pe.3:11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved (2 Pe.3:12 below), what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2 Pe.3:12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervant heat (2 Pe.3:10 above).

2 Pe.3:13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for NEW HEAVENS and A NEW EARTH, wherein dwelleth righteousness (Re.21:1, Isa.65:17).

From a scientific standpoint the sun's life is about half-way over. That is, it will probably die in about 5 billion years. In about 2 billion it will expand far enough outward that humans won't be able to live on the earth anymore. At least that's what I remember seeing on Discovery - or something like that. So earth should be here for a pretty long time. However if man doesn't stop warring and trying blow himself up it'll be over LONG before that. As far as the Bible is concerned...remember...that was written by human beings....even if you think they were inspired by God, humans are subject to misinterpreting things. So I wouldn't count on the Bible as any authority on the life of this world.

First off, jtuckerndfw, the bible didn't say the world would end in the first century, Israel had to become a nation again, which didn't happen until 1948.

As for the question, most certainly.

I think that the world is going to end and it may be sooner than what everyone thinks. Look at the state of the world today and compare to what is stated in the bible. It makes alot of sense no matter how scarey it is.

In about 2 billion years.

The bible claimed the world would end in the 1st century. It either ended or the bible is lying.

The 'earth' will be here forever. The world, meaning world of people who do not want Jesus to be ruler, will end.

Ecc.1:4, Rev.20:9.
