Nothing home made will make your hair curly! The best you can do is wash your hair at night, put some gel/our mousse in your hair and braid it really tight. When you wake up in the morning you should have at least a soft wave on your hair but it depends how long it will last (from a few hours to the whole day). It depends on your hair's texture, condition...etc.
I wouldn't try perming at home either. If you really want curly hair, only the chemicals of a perm will allow you to have it!
