The Virgin Mary sometimes also called Holy Mother. Make no mistake, She is not greater than God, but she is humble in his presence. When people pray to Mary, they are actually praying through her. She acts as a guide for prayers. She brings prayers to God. And as a mother and a woman, many female Christians can relate to her.
How to pray to The Virgin Mary, one such prayer goes like this....
Hail Mary
Full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary
Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
AMEN.

Some Catholics pray to God- but throught the Virgin Mary. If you read the Bible for yourself- you will probably not be praying to Mary or through her since she is not God.
This would be like praying to Mother Theresa b/c she did so many great things. She is still a person. It was God working through her.

As a Christian you are shown that you should not pray to ANY person . Mary gave birth to Jesus , she was chosen by God to do this ; but still she was just a person like you and I .
Man is not perfect ; man commits sin ; Only perfect thing in the world is GOD .
Mary cant and wont help you .
Remember that Virgin mary statues have ears , but they cant hear ; they have eyes , but they cant see ; they have feet , but they cant walk ; they have hands , but they can not touch .
They are just objects .
Pray to the living God . Not to a dead statue .

The Virgin Mary can't hear your or do anything for you. She's the wrong person to pray to. You should pray to God and or Jesus.

The Bible says Mary is blessed among women, not above women. So no, you shouldn't pray to Mary or through Mary. I don't know why the Catholics do this.

This is how you pray:
Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Mary is in heaven with God and intercedes on our behalf. There is nothing wrong with praying to her.

No you should not. That is man made by the Catholic religion. "No man gets to the Father but by Me (Jesus)." There are many other scriptures to go along with this one. According to any reliable Bible you are not to pray to any saints or Mary.

Jesus taught us to pray, saying "Our Father, who art in heaven", and I would stick with that. Pray to God. Nowhere does the bible tell us to pray to Mary or anyone else.

You don't. The Bible does not teach Mary was sinless (Romans 3:23). It does teach she was a godly, righteous woman. It does not teach she should be worshiped. Worship belongs to God alone. (Revelation 14:7). When John fell at the feet of a heavenly angel to worship, the angel emphatically told him not to do it and instructed, "worship God" (Revelation 19:10).
The best way we can honor Mary is by following the instructions she gave at the wedding feast of Cana of Galilee. And His mother saith unto them, "Whatever He saith unto you do it" (John 2:5). We honor Mary by being obedient to Jesus.
