Statistics say that gay people who have tried to be 'changed' by a Priest have actually not 'changed' at all. People who are really religious and gay have commited suicide because they couldn't change. Who would make a choice and commit suicide because they couldn't unmake the choice? How can you say being gay isn't a choice? Expound on this.

THESE THINGS do not send you to HELL,
Lying,Stealing,Cheating, Rape,Child Molestation,Drunkeness, being a Gay Person,Adultery,Fornication,so on and so on.

THIS send's you to HELL----Leaving the EARTH for GOOD with-out getting BORN-AGAIN (SAVED), leaving the EARTH for GOOD with-out getting your Spiritman RECREATED by Accepting JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOUR. Period.

YOU must be Born-Again.

Every-body (LOST and SAVED) sin's. SIN (some kind's) will cut your Physical LIFE SHORT on this EARTH, other's will SEND YOU TO JAIL!!!!!(or should)so on and so on.. YES, JESUS died for our SIN's and all of the Lessor SIN,s can be forgiven.
BUT THE SIN ADAM DID to start all of this mess on the EARTH, (and open the door to all of the lesser SIN's, lying, murder, etc.) MESSED UP Adam's Spiritman and Adam passed this MESSED UP SPIRITMAN to EVERYBODY else.
The FIRST SIN Adam committed (HIGH TREASON) cannot be FORGIVEN by CONFESSING it out like a lesser SIN. The ONLY WAY to get rid of the RESULT's of that FIRST SIN passed on to US (the MESSED-UP Spiritman) is to ASK JESUS to COME into your HEART(Spiritman) and SAVE(Recreate) you.
After that, you confess out the other stuff an JESUS forgive's you, but you WILL REAP what you have SOW. (Curse's in your LIFE, Jail time, execution in some case's etc.) There are RESULT's to your SIN's even though JESUS will forgive you.

NOW ask yourself this question ('s):
HOW many Alcoholic's have quit drinking cause they actually got Born-Again and are on their way to HEAVEN??? And how many time's did they slip into drinking again, and then not drinking again till the died and went to HEAVEN????
HOW many People who got actually got Born-Again and kept on sinning, then going to Church and not sinning, then sinning and then going to Church and not sinning on and on till they died and went Home to HEAVEN?????

1. THE UNPARDONABLE SIN is walking AWAY from JESUS ON PURPOSE, knowing what you are doing (not wanting HEAVEN, JESUS, the whole nine yard's) and being in a POSITION SPIRITUALLY where you can commit the UNPARDONABLE SIN. Baby Children of GOD (Baby Christian's) CANNOT COMMIT this SIN.
2. THE UPARDONABLE SIN is never getting BORN-AGAIN on this EARTH befor you leave this EARTH for GOOD.

These are the ONLY 2 WAY's you can commit the UNPARDONABLE SIN. This is the only 2 way's you can bust HELL wide open.

Sinning after you are a Child of GOD (SAVED) just get's you into TROUBLE down here (reap what you sow), and you will lose REWARD's in HEAVEN later.
IF you grow enough in the Spiritual REALM to be able to COMMIT the Unpardonable SIN, thenTHERE is one thing you have to watch out for, IF you get SAVED(and GROW Spiritually Enough) and continue in sin on and on you COULD be sucked into enough Darkness that would lead you into committing the UNPARDONABLE SIN, TO KNOW JESUS IN GREAT DEPTH's OF TRUTH, then mess with sin, on and on, could get you into Eternal Trouble. YOU would know EXACTLY what you are doing then. Baby Christian's can not commit it.

SO, to ANSWER your Question----I don't KNOW!!!!! Only JESUS know's how to help those People, not me, unless HE would tell me Specifically for one person at a time. EACH case is different!!!
But I tell you this, GAY People outta get Born-Again, no matter what!!!!! ALL of THEM, cause JESUS LOVE's them, and they GOT a RIGHT to go to HEAVEN as much as ANYBODY ELSE, Whether they can quit BEING GAY or NOT!!!!!!
There's agonna be ALOT of Children of GOD ALCOHOLIC's who didn't quit drinking, died and went to HEAVEN!!!!
Why not GAY's???? JESUS DIED for THEM TOO!!!!!!!!
Don't worry bout' LESSER SIN's, get theRESULT of Adam's BIG SIN taken care of FIRST-------------GET SAVED!!!!!!! Thanky-JESUS Ditto!!!!

No. But by having faith, the faithful can accomplish anything, including completely changing the sexuality they were meant to have before they could walk, talk or likely even breath on their own. God can do anything. And he wants us all to prosper in His love first, and each others second, however we will.

Asking God to change your sexuality is asking for a miracle, so fortunately you're asking the right guy. Unfortunately God only provides us what we NEED. And some of us actually need to learn to live with who and what we are and make do as best we can. God would not have made us all so beautifully different if he expected us to all act the same.

So sure, there are people who have changed from being homosexuals to heterosexuals, and bisexuals to homosexuals, and heterosexuals to bisexuals... just as there are people who have walked on water, and levitated, and healed the terminally ill, etc...

But it might actually be a little harder to take a closer, unbiased look at your bible and make some informed decisions for yourself....

I am christian but I don't agree with everything in the christian religion, I believe being gay is not a choice and no gay man could not change being gay by becoming christian, thats a rediculous idea. One late night I saw one of those christian preaching things on tv and people can call in. A boy called who was christian and told the preacher he was gay but he couldn't stop being gay he told the preacher that he loved jesus, the preacher told the boy that if he really loved jesus he wouldn't be gay. It was so F*cked up!

I have read a couple of your questions and you bring some real issues to the table. I do NOT feel you can change from being gay to straight. Being gay is something you are just born with. I am a Christian and I am very open. As far as religion goes, I have always said, " I do not have Jesus written on my forhead, there for I have no right to judge someone."

first people are not changed by priest.. they are changed by God. second people dont wake up and decide to be gay..so they can be verbally abused..,mistreated and looked down upon by others. i feel people are truly born with the desire or attraction to same sex. acting upon that desire i a choice.. but not the desire. i might have the desire to date my relatives mate..but i dont choose to do..it. that doesnt make sense that someone would commit suicide instead of reversing a choice. that is a rediculous statement. God can do anything. if you have faith and truly want to change..i dont care what scientist say... GOD can.. take the desire for the same sex away from you. human beings have been given alot of ,mental strength.. it is whether or not you really want something bad enough. but just think if you are a man..that wants.. women and are told to never touch one again in life. it would be tough. well the same goes for a man who is attracted to other men... not to act on that desire would be tough as well.but it can be done. i am not a supporter of same sex relationships..but i can understand how some feel they have to play the cards they are dealt..and to make the best of their lives.

I think being Gay is a choice. we choose do to everything in life. The only thing we cannot choose is our skin color. I am thinking if people were born gay then why cant they tell it at birth or while a woman is pregnant? Is there a difference in the genetic makeup of a gay person than a straight person? Not that I know of... so to me what makes them born gay? What makes me born Black or White? My skin color that I am born with that you can see at birth. There are no questions about that. What makes me a a girl or a boy.. my sex that you can tell before I am even born. I don't have a choice in the matter of my sex unless I CHOOSE to have surgery.
So I am thinking I choose my religion and being Christian does not make me gay or ungay. People choose to be gay - just like they choose their clothes and life partners. No one can change anyone from being Gay. Gay people need to decide for themselves their future. Just like no one can change a crackhead from being a crackhead they have to decide to do that for themselves. Just like no one can change a child molester they have to stop themselves. Find courage to do the right thing inside.

Can a zebra change his stripes when he hangs around elephants?

A gay person, or any other person, may repress their persona to fit into any social envoronment they think they need to fit in to. Depending on how badly their desire is to fit will determine their success or failure. Even if successful they will still be a celibate or performing (heterosexually) gay man. As this is their natural desire.

People really need to stop the crap. Know that everyone is different. That they have different values and desires then others and live their lives in persuit of them no matter what they are so long as they do not harm another person.

Being gay isn't the sin, acting on it is. No one said being a christian was easy, it's not. We're all hit with temptation of one kind or another every day. Acting on gay feelings may be harder to resist than some of our other temptations, I don't know, but the point is to strive to do what is right. Suicide is never the answer, He doesn't want that.

It is unimportant, considering there is no direct condemnation of homosexuality in the new testament. Also even if homosexuality is considered a sin, how is it any more of a sin than premarital sex? Which is the norm in this country. The simple fact is people don't understand that which is different and desire to repress it in any way possible. Why aren't you focusing on the priests who molest children, the states that execute people, the TV evangelicals that steal money from their congregations, or those that bomb abortion clinics, aren't these infinitely more heinous sins?

Homosexuality was condemned in the Old Testament, a offense that had deadly consequences. However so was adultry. People were stoned to death for that offense as well.
God sent His Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
One sin is not "worse" than others. God HATES the sin, but loves the Sinner.
I myself keep what I do in my bedroom to myself, if all of us would do the same a lot of the suffering I see would end.

There is no clear answer. I am Christian, and not gay. But I understand that it is not my place to judge anyone. We are supposed to love eachother the way Christ loves us. I know that if a religious leader tried to "change" me from hetero- into homo-sexual it wouldn't work. That just isn't in me. So part of me thinks this would be true of the reverse. But it doesn't matter since we are not God and do not have a right to lord over our fellow man.
