Unfortunately, Yes, Guys just don't understand that once you have a baby with somebody you stay to help and you become vulnorable. They have to learn you change from being care free to having responsibilities and that for some guys is a real big turn off, so they disconnect from the situation hoping you don't come after them for child support or need them for anything. Heaven forbid if you want them to be involved in the chid's life. Whait till the dna results come back and go from there.

Yeah, it's very possible. The problem is this...how did you get preggos? If it was a one nighter then he should have used a condom, unless you guys didn't talk about it.
I doubt he planned on having a child and certainly didn't expect one from a one night stand. Maybe once he grows up he will develope some interest, but unfortunately, you shouldn't hold your breath. I'm sad for your son, maybe you will find a good father figure to settle down with soon and the two of you will have a strong stable man to share your life with.

Yes I believe in being a dad to the child yes. But in terms of child support he will have to take part if you get a court order or pay the consequences.

If he doesn't want to participant don't force him because ultimately it will be harder on the child if they are resented or only get visited once and a while. My ex husband hasn't spoken to our kids in over 3 years now and they are now adjusting well and have their grandfather as an excellent male role model.

yes as sad as it is there are alot of fathers who were just sperm doners. If he was old enough to lay in the bed unprotected he is old enough to be a father. Good luck I hope he comes around as every child deserves to know both halfs of which they came from

Yes, it happens all the time. My husband and I divorced when my children were small and he has not seen them or spoken to them since 1987. Watch Maury Povich and you will see how jacked up men can be about fathering children. It's ridiculous.

Yes guys aren't as connected as we are, at first he'll probably give it his all but then the new will wear off and he'll leave you alone and go back to his life! Threaten to sue him for child support that will run him off!
