I'm tryint to test my own telephone and I know that telephone tech.'s have a number they enter to ring the phone at the calling location. Anyone know what it is for U.S., more specifically Mass.?

try 0 for an operator if it is a land line
if it is a cell phone try 411
any operator can test it for you

Dial 955 and the last 4 of your phone number, hit flash, dial your full 7-digit number, and hang up. The phone should ring in a few seconds
or 161 just dial that

Phone technicians have an operator call the number they have a question about or connect to another line and dial it.
Have a cell phone? Call your land line from your cell phone.

I don't know the number but you could do something else. if you are testing your home phone then get your cellphone and dial your home phone number. If you are testing your cellphine then switch the phones. If you don't have a cellphone then, ask a friend to call you.
