For about 3 months now, I've been trying to cut back on my sugar intake (no more than 5-6grams)... so, I've been missing out on all the good sweet stuff! But, today, I was in the store and I took a look at the nutritional value of the apples they had on the shelf. It had 14g of sugar... :O Waz' up wit dat?

The sugar in the apple occurs naturally and is accompanied by vitamins, minerals, and fiber. The sugar in the candy bar is either granulated cane sugar or corn syrup and is mixed into the recipe after it's already been refined and processed. Eat the apple; it takes long for natural sugars from fruit ( fructose ) to absorb into your system, thus helping you to feel full longer.
