1. Most atheists (especially those on this board) are not really atheists. You cannot be an atheist and have a "spirituality".
2. Most atheists haven't read a thing, beyond perhaps an assigned paragraph in college, from a real atheist.
3. Most atheists don't have a clue about what theists really believe in.
4. Most atheists assume things about theists and religion based on the beliefs of really stupid people that theists don't believe in.
5. Most atheists assume that a small cult with wacky beliefs teach what is believed by the official religion.
I could post more but that is good enough.
As to the second part of your question:
Your average atheist is often surrounded by intellectual dwarfs. It is really frustrating to have Christianity preached to you by people who do not understand basic philosophy or even what Christianity teaches historicaly. They are not attracted to it because they can rip the arguments to shreds and they are constantly hounded by people that point to a verse and say that it being printed there is some sort of proof of truth while saying that if you do not believe that it is truth that you are damned.
For teen age and 20 somethings the problem is that they think they know everything, yet they are not even slighly aware that the US education system is really poor in exposing them to anysort of history of thought and philosophy.
College educated Athiests often assume that having a bit of education on a subject, makes you educated. Also depending on your major and the university, there can be a real strong progressive agenda that refuses to teach anything about theism or the historic beliefs about any sort of religion.

My reason for posting my question to christians only is because number one -non- believers are not saved and spiritual minded to even know what God is saying!..secondly, this is a religious/spiritual site and non-believing atheists are very disrespectful, judgmental, condemning, harrassing, mocking, being rude & verbally abusive!...So Why Should I, Or Any Other Believer Want Them To Answer Any Of My Questions!........

they are not Jews because Jew's do not trust the messiah has come yet. they don't trust Jesus so believing in Jesus and keeping your Jewish obviously contradicts one yet another.... that is unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that call themselves "Jews". end this custom now, your disgracing both Judaism and Christianity.
