where to go, when to go, eat first or after, how long should the date last, ect...

usually i would say skip the movie but my boyfriend took me to a horror film on our first date. it doesn't sound very romantic but it gave him the opportunity to grab my hand/put his arm around me when i got scared ;)
yes it sounds very high school but it was sweet and i'll never forget it

Ok a good first date is something that you can do that will incite conversation. You want to get to know each other well enough to figure out if either of you really want to bother with a 2nd date so......movies are a bad idea. Dinner...the thing with dinner is....you could end up just sitting there staring at each other without much to talk about for an hour or two. How about DOING something like going for a bike ride, or roller blading or a walk through the park, maybe a trip to the art gallery or a museum, even an amusement park or aquarium or a zoo will give you lots of things to talk about and you'll really get to know each other a lot better than you would sitting in a dark movie theatre for 2 hours.
Good luck....you seem like a nice guy...at least you care enough to ask what women think instead of just hauling the poor woman off to watch you wash and wax your car and drink beer with your buddies!

Something fun like mini golf or an outdoor festival. Food somewhere along the line. Just something fun and easy going. For most women, where you go doesn't matter (as long as it's not going dutch at Jack in the Box), it's the company and how attentive you are. Ultimately whether that date goes down in history as a good date or a bad date depends solely on whether you make a good connection or not. As for how long or eating after or before, I'd say make a loose plan (like, mini golf and dinner) and then ask your date whether she'd like to eat first or later. And how long the date lasts will most likely depend on whether you're having a good time and making a good connection. Hope this helps.

where to go....hmm somewhere fun. Maybe an amusement park or a concert maybe even a water park. no where to romantic right off ya dont want to scare her. When to eat? hmm...hungry women arent fun so keep her satisfied. Day time date....go to lunch then an hour or so later offer her ice cream or coffee. Dinner date basically do the same. if you guys are having a good time the date will take itself in the direction it flows. If the date isnt what you expected then end it early. New places and first times are always good dates.

It is all about what you find interesting. So if she likes moves then that is a great date. But it is a good idea to make sure that you go to dinner because there should be a way for you to make sure that you get to know each other, and you can not do that at a movie and should not talk though a movie.

I had a perfect date once which consisted of a fun sight seeing trip downtown, and lunch at a cafe. It wasn't too long, it was in public places so it wasn't too intimidating, and it was pretty romantic that a guy would want to do something like that! Later on I figured out that he was gay though, so maybe that's why it was so perfect....

nicely that really relies upon on the female. i'm one for a helpful walk on the nearest nature center, getting espresso, yet when i'm contained in the mood for a movie and pizza that's helpful too. besides the undeniable fact that the suitable date will be...nicely i stay in chicago so i opt to flow crusing and look at museums and such.

I was surprised some said "movie". How can you talk to a person and get to know them in a movie theater without getting yelled at. How about a hike, or a mountain bike ride. If you let him see you sweat he knows your a confident girl, and guys like confidence!

Dinner down by the beach. sit outside after and have a cocktail and conversation... maybe a walk on the beach after... then a grope... hahahaha just kidding... well maybe depends on the girl.
anything by the beach is good. very romantic.
