Soda is the worst because of all the sugars and acids. Then gum with sugar. Sugar-free gum is ok. Tobacco is third.

Chewing gum, if it is sugarless, is actually beneficial to the teeth as it helps salivary flow and helps clean the teeth. Sugared gum is all together different. That is bad stuff. But you will only bathe your teeth in sugar for about 5 mintues or so.
Soda is horrible to teeth, it is not only the sugar (about 8-10 spoonfuls of sugar in a can!!!) but the acids that can decay teeth. If you drink the soda fast and chase it with water, it isnt as bad. If you sip on it all day is when it really causes problems.
Tobacco, other than causing staining (surface stain and stain that actually is inside the tooth-because of the heat) isnt necessarily harmful to the teeth themselves, BUT it is harmful to the gums around the teeth. People who smoke are more likely to have periodontal, gum disease and that will cause the break down of the bone and in the end can cause teeth to fall out. So while it wont cause decay, it could cause you to lose all of your teeth.
So I guess it depends on if you are prone to the bacteria that causes cavities or the bacteria that causes gum problems, they are different. If you never get cavities, then the soda and even sugared gum wont necessarily harm you (some people really ARE that lucky, not many though!). But if you have a family history of gum problems then the tobacco could very well be your teeth's downfall. Just depends on the person.
While I will never endorse soda drinking, although in moderation it is okay, I will always recommend those who smoke, stop.
I will recommend that patients chew sugarfree gum, sweetened with Xylitol, as this helps prevent decay and plaque formation!

All of the above are not good, chewing gum containing sugar isn't good for your teeth, Soda can be devastating and tobacco effects your gums and tissue in the mouth. The best thing is to not use tobacco products, drink diet soda and chew sugarless gum :)

they all have different effect on the teeth. Chewing gum, if it contains sugar, causes damage because of the acids produces later which corrupt the teeth. Soda does the same if it contains sugar, but it can be acidic anyway, like coke and orange or lemon sodas. Tobacco stains the teeth but doesnt corrupt them.

If it were diet soda, that is definitely the worst. Then regular soda second, then tobacco. It depends on what kind of gum you are chewing. If it's sugarless, it is actually good for your teeth.

Soda is the worst for your teeth. If you drink it almost all day-every day, then your teeth will start corroding from the acids, not just the sugar, and it will give you painful cavities. Some gum is good for your teeth, except for like.....the Hubba Bubba stuff. And tobacco just stains your teeth.

As a habit, tobacco-no question! I don't recommend even trying the tobacco, because the nicotine is addictive.

I'd say soda, since you can clean a penny with soda. I think Gatorade can also clean a penny.
Quite disturbing.
