I started dating this guy about a month ago. We haven't seen each other for the past two weeks, eventhough, he has asked me out; I went away last weekend, and this week I've had a lot of work, so I had to turn down a request from him to meet for dinner. however, I really want to see him. The thing is, my brother is coming over from out of the state with his family and they are stayin at my placefor the long weekend; I don't get to spend much time with them.

Would it be too much to ask the guy I'm dating to come over maybe one night? Would he freak out? I just want him to know that I really like him and want to spend sometime with him, If you know what I mean... Any suggestions?

There is nothing wrong with explaining the situation to him and asking him if he would like to join you some evening. This tells him that you care enough to not only explain what is going on in your life but to include him.

Why dont you try to have a short date (lunch or coffee, etc. after work) durring the week. You wont risk freaking him out (or put yourselves in a bad situation too early in the relationship ) by inviting him over your house and he'll understand that you want to see him even though your short on time this weekend.

explain everything to him and invite him over as much as possible. if you are sure about him and really like him don't let him get away, besides it's never to late to see how he reacts to family. and if he really likes you and wants to give you the time of day then i'm sure he's not going to mind hanging out with the family, and if you continue to turn him down he may just tell you to hit the road.

I think it wud b better if u were honest with him. Tell him the situation so that he'll understand & if he wants 2 come, then he will. If u don't b honest with him, he might think ur not serious or that ur not interested or something.
P.S/ If u know that ur family will put him in the spot or make things worse 4 u guys, don't invite him.(But I'm sure he can handle himself)

I would ask him and then explain to him that your not trying to avoid him its just you have alot of family stuff going on right now and you would really like to spend time with him.

Just tell him what you just asked. You really wanna spend time with him but you are just really busy doin all this stuff. TEll him that your brother is comin to town and you can't really leave them but he's welcome to come over to your house. That way he knows exactly how you feel.

Ordianarily no, but I think it's too soon for him, to meet them. I think he'll understand, if you can't see him, because of them comin- provided you tell him.

Just call him and say him the same things you wrote.
I am sure if he will understand
