I have dreams involving sex with men other than my husband. These dreams almost always result in orgasm and I wake up satisfied and guilty feeling. Am I committing a sin? Also are we responsible for dreams in which we commit acts of violence?

I believe NO, we are not responsible for our dreams. Just be careful not to try to act them out in real life.

Just a couple of weeks ago I had a REALLY sexy dream about someone I knew 35 years ago. It was fantastic. However, it was not my fault. I did thank God for it the next morning. haha Put a smile on my face for days.

What never happened in real life was fun to experience in a dream. No harm done...

Yes and no. Sometimes we are responsible for our dreams. Here's an example... You are reading a romance novel and you get so engrossed in it that you dream about it. Same thing with a scary book or scary movie...and then you end up dreaming about it.

Since your husband is not satisfying you, you feel the need to find that satisfaction else where like porn for example? Or romance novels....etc. If you are constantly thinking about it, it becomes a part of you and now it has entered your dreams...

So yes, you're totally responsible in this regard.

However, let's say, you are satisfied with your husband and this dream was just out of the blue, then no, you cannot be held responsible.

We cannot control our dreams. Unless you mastered the skill of lucid dreaming. So if it was your intention of wanting to dream about wild nights and violence then yeah it's a sin, but if it's a dream that came out of nowhere and you didn't intend for that dream to happen then no it's not a sin, and you're not responsible.

When you woke up feeling satisfied, that satisfaction was probably an emotion that stayed with you from the dream to when you woke up. You're ok. =) God understands.

As a Muslim I would comment as follows:
-Dearms sources are diverse. Among the sources are Devil itself and Devil can take any form that Not religious (Jesus, Muhammed and other prophets) and we are advised that if we had a bad dream let us not talk about it because it might be a Devil's work.

Also, Dreams reflects our own fantacies and not redeemed desires and Muhammed said paticularily about Sex "When a man gets aroused by a woman other than his wife, he should soon make love to his wife, so that it kills the bad impact" and certinally that can be applied on women as well.

Finally, In Islam if we think of something bad and we do not do it, it is not a Sin

So I hope I did answer your question and that you got the message clearly.

I dont know why your having these dreams, but I wouldnt be too hard on yourself. By feeling guilty it means that you really care about your husband. Everyone has dreams at times and dont know why their having them. I would pray and ask God to relieve yourself from these dreams. Maybe even talk to someone or your husband if you want. I dont know really what to tell you because a person cant really choose their dreams. Hope things work out

We don't have control over what we dream about, I agree with the first post. But I even have dreams that have nothing to do with anything I've ever thought about.

I'd say it's probably just your brain sensing the hormones in your body and translating it into a dream.

Here's the thing about lust for us ole married folks. The only time it is actually called "lust" is when you know for sure you'd have sex with that person if they asked you.

If the sight of Brad Pitt makes you weak in the knees, that's not lust. But if Brad asked you to lay down with him, and you know in your heart of hearts that you would, you've already sinned. But if the sight of Brad makes you want to go home with your husband and do the wild thing, that's ok.

Are you kidding me? We don't have control over our dreams, but they are also acting out the thoughts that we have during the day, just the junk, really. So don't worry.
