According to the Bible...

Homosexuality is a sin
Murder is a sin
Stealing what is not yours is a sin,
Cursing God, Jesus and the Holy spirit is a sin
cursing something else - God would not want you to do that (whether it is a sin or not, depends how that cursing is used and in what context.)
Bearing False Witness is a sin
Hating other is not what God would want you to do.
There's a lot more sins listed in the Bible, well over 600.

But MOST IMPORTANTLY, the Bible teaches about forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ, about "loving thy neighbor as you love yourself", and about the glory of eternal life.

Jesus teaches to love the sinner and to forgive the sinner if they repent their ways, but not to love the sin.

The Bible is clear on that.

We are all sinners and Jesus has died for all of us.

"When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice. 'For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." - Matthew 9:11-13

You are right. Being gay is a sin, and it is the same as stealing, cussing, and hating. It is also the same as not supporting the poor, ignoring a car on the side of the road that is stranded, etc. The bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god, so we are all sinners. And the bible DOESN'T make any reference to a hierchy (sp?) of sin. But it does say to love your neighbor. So I guess the answer is that we should be showing love to everyone, and not hating based on sins.
I should also add that I am a Christian who has a gay father in-law, who I love as a father.

Please read the whole thing if you read any of this. I may not end up where you think I am going!

The Bible is very clear on the issue of homosexuality. God created men and women to be a family unit, not two men or two women(Genesis 1-2, Matthew 19). Leviticus 18:22 says explicitly, "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

This is affirmed in the New Testament as well. 1 Corinthians 6:9 says, "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders".

That said, adultry is also a sin. And Jesus defines adultry very broadly. We read in Matthew 5:27-28, "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

So as a red-blooded American male, I can say that I have committed adultry this week in my mind by checking out a woman at the office with more than a passing glance. Shame on me.

I'm guilty of adultry. Perhaps you are guilty of homosexual sin. We are both sinners. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:8).

I am hard-wired in my flesh to lust after woman. It takes concentrated effort, renewing my mind in God's Word, much prayer to resist fleshy urges. I suspect this is no different than a homosexual's flesh urges aimed at a different sex. So we have a lot in common.

We both receive eternal salvation the same way. We both grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord the same way. If anyone is still reading this and has questions on salvation and growth, fire away!

It not really what I think. All that matters is what God says about it. The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to die for the sins of the world if only people would believe that and be saved. Gays can all so be forgiven and can also turn from their sins. God created a man and a woman to replenish the earth. When you go against the law of nature then God turns you over to a reprobate mind. Romans 1: 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Romans 1: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

According to this *bible* you mention, practically everything we do is in some way sinful. But like ALL religious books of faith, it is a guide to acceptable behaviour among humans, (the bible was written by humans, allegedly acting as a medium for a higher diety) Interpretation of the words in any book is of the individuals reading, Faiths and religions however are a means of generalising what is wrong or indeed sinful, subject to their interpretation of these "words of God"

for not supporting gays you sure have a stance on the issue. Being gay is a sin and so are the others you listed, but God does not expect us to be perfect and while he may frown on all sins the sin of homosexuality is one that has cause place to be destroyed above all other sins

Sin is not an issue with God anymore. How could a sacrafice be made for the sins of the world and then we still have to do something to make it better yet? Contradictory and insulting to the work of the cross.,

That is why Jesus taught it so harshly. It is not that you can't do it, but you can't even think about it! All had to be found guilty so mercy could be given to all.

As one man, Adam, imputed sin to the world, one man imputes grace to the world.

Being gay isn't a sin ... the act of sodomy or homosexuality is.

Know the difference, please, or you will stray from what God says. An effeminate man isn't sinning, nor is having those thoughts of desire towards men a sin. But doing the act, or even knowing you'd do it, is a sin.

Many men and women live out their lives sexually chaste because they know it is better to do without sex at all than to cross God's commands. You know, that whole 'it is better to pluck out your eye if it offends you than to have your whole body burn in the fires of hell' verse.

I do not personally think that the "gay lifestyle" is great, but who am I to judge? I have done my fair share of WRONG things, so I do not believe that I am in any position to make a judgment call, if gay people should not be allowed in religious ceremonies, then anybody who has ever done anything wrong should not be allowed!

1Tm:1:4: Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1Tm:1:5: Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1Tm:1:6: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
1Tm:1:7: Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
1Tm:1:8: But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
1Tm:1:9: Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1Tm:1:10: For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
