Ok, the tick was burnt with a match...it did not come out.?

So, I pulled it out with the tweezers, but I swear something is still in there?

No what do I do?

You are probably seeing thehead of the tick.. they rarely will come out when burned - you need to get the head out of the skin

Its a bad tick season this year. The best thing is to get regular rubbing alcohol and pour it on where the tick was it suffocates them and forces them to pull out there heads to breathe. If you still think some thing is ther take the dog to the vet. Next time you get a tick use the alcohol as its better than a match in my book and the animal has no chance of getting hurt. good luck

I grew up in the county and you should watch the area around that spot. If he starts running a fever than take him to the doctor if the area turns red with streaks that lead away from the wound. Next time use a sewing needle and heat it red hot,find the place that it is attached and touch the needle to the spot closest to the skin. A tick will bury it's head under the skin but when you touch him he will backup.

Go to a doctor to make sure the tick's head is out. Try to find a place that's inexpensive.

In the future, I'd go to the doctor right away. Or find out this time what best way to remove tick is.

TICK SPOONS! go to the doctor but next time you get a tick, buy a tick spoon at a pet store, outdoor world place, or camping store

when a tick gets on someone or a animal the burry there head underneath the skin to suck blood. your supose to burn the tick and it backs out. when you just pull on the tick its head rips off and stays under the skin. now if this happens you have to dig underneath the skin to get the head out if you dont get the head out it will get infected.
