In excess yes there right kidney stones suck and can actually cause death it they form in the wrong shape *like a Y* but unless your only drinking soda i think your ok. everything in moderation.
And diet soda can be bad for you to just because some of the sweeteners can be harmful but this is also in excess. Just make sure you drink otherthings to like milk and water.

Drinking sodas makes your body "acidic".
Putting carbon dioxide in soda, and drinking, "said" soda, makes your body acidic in nature. (You dont realize it, but, your teeth do).
And, your bones also realize it, because they start to break down over time.
Soda is very low on the PH scale, almost as low as beer, and beer is just above an acid in nature! (while acid is 1.5, I believe its 3.5 in PH!, , and water being 7.0).
So, though you pass a lot of "fluids" through the kidneys, its not good to pass the sodas.
You should drink one glass of water, for every glass of soda that you drink.
I wish you well..

drinking sodas is bad for all of your internal organs not to mention your teeth also. soda will erode away all of your organs little by little and i'd say that might cause some health problems later on in life

I know that drinking regular soda is very, very bad for your weight. Also, drinking colas is very, very bad for your bones. Later in life, you may get osteoporosis.
