I was just reading a great book (Fat Girls Guide to Life - a must read) that alluded to being persecuted and discriminated against because of being fat. Just curious, is this a widespread phenomenon, am I oblivious, or is it just being overhyped in my books? (BLEEPS online, clothes, and dating aside) Oh and yup, I'm a size 26 Fat Chick ;-)

I have been discrimmintaed against, but nothing I could prove. I've not gotten jobs because of it. I am also a24-26 fat chick! I don't normally hear or see people talking about me or anything like that, thank goodness. I've gotten slower service in stores and restaurants. I've never been refused service, tho. I am generally oblivious about most stuff, but every now and again you come upon that one idiot...

I think it is safe to say that every big person has been discriminated against in one way or another.

People are just assholes.
