actually i saw an article not too long ago that bread was not like cheese. when cheese molds it is safe to cut that off and eat the rest. bread, on the other hand, is not safe because it is a different type of mold and will infect the entire loaf. it is not advised to eat moldy bread. i am sorry i can't remember the source or i would of included it.

Is it safe: yes. It won't hurt you. Will it taste good: probably not. The mold is still inside the bread and will make it taste bad. You just can't see it. Unless of course you happen to get a bad type of mold, which is possible but unlikely. Or are allergic to mold.

The visible mold is only the visible part of the iceberg. The mold will go through the bread and it'll taste bad all the way through the slice. Throw it away.

NO! Bread is not like cheese, which you can cut off the mold. Once you see it on bread throw it out. Even though you might not see it on other pieces, it is there, if not quite visable yet

Not particularly. The mold can actually be inside more than just the corner you cut off, even if you can't see it. The spores could be in there multiplying. Ask any scientist.

I think that's nasty. My dad says, if there's mold, it's time to toss it away. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law doesn't think that way. She cuts off the mold part and puts the bread in the refrigerator. That's very unhealthy.

Don't do it. Throw the stuff away and get another loaf.

I've done it before when desperate and not suffered but if you have the money, go buy another loaf. If not check the bread very very carefully before eating. Might be an idea to toast it first as well.

Yes...and eating mold is actually not horrible for you, other than how it tastes. Same stuff as in penicillin but a LOT less concentrated.
