My dad would have us stand on the side while he threw change in. On the count of 3 we would dive in and the one with the largest amount didn't have to do chores that evening.

You can try a family game of tag....
Where one person is on the out side of the pool with a ball and throws it at ppl in the pool when hit they are it...
my daughter loves this game we play with a ball that socks up water to make it more challanging cause if the person is missed then the it person has to dive into the pool and retreave the ball..

Marco Polo, Depending on the size of your pool I had 5 kids loving diving for pennies today. Used 35 pennies like I said for 5 kids. They had a blast

Marco Polo. Kind of like tag. One person closes their eyes and yells Marco while the others trying not to get tagged by that person yell polo. First person to get tagged by Marco is it.
Also if they are good swimmers try throwing in something to dive for. We throw glow stix made for the pool.
And volley ball is a popular water sport.

Marco Polo is a wicked fun one...Fun to play even if they cant play...Marco polo is tag but the tager has his or her eyes closed and uses hearing to try to find the object...No Peaking!!!!
Also any game involving a beach ball are usually fun for smaller kids.

Make a whirppool. Everyone joins hands and walks in a circle as fast as they can... and then eventually the whirpool just carries you along! Fun, interesting, and even a learning experience, all in one!

marco polo, diving sticks, teaching kids to swim, swim laps, water volly ball, or just the water park with tons of toys and stuff.
