People Please pay attention to the details. God condemned people before there was a standard by which to measure who was good and who was evil! The law was given to moses not adam! Moses didn't live until around 1500 bc. That is around 2,500 years WITH NO LAW OR STANDARD OF GOOD OR EVIL!

Do you really think it is just to convict someone of a crime that they had no knowledge was a crime? Talk about a set up!

Genesis 16:5
Then Sarai said to Abram, "You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my servant in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me. May the LORD judge between you and me."

This clearly shows that even before Moses there was a concept of judgement from God. There may have been a law, just because it is not written in Genesis does not mean it never existed, the Bible speaks of many books that we no longer have copies of, perhaps the law was recorded in one of these books. If you actually read through Genesis, there were a few commandments the Lord gave concerning men and His chosen men.

Genesis 8:21
21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

Genesis 9:6
6 "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man.

Genesis 12
1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. 2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Abraham calls Him, Judge

Genesis 18
25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

In the following scripture it is evident that even the men of Sodom understood the concept of judgement.

Genesis 19
9 "Get out of our way," they replied. And they said, "This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.

He doesn't. The first law He set up was, "don't eat the fruit..."
and mankind broke it. The next law was: every time you sin their must be blood in payment. Cain broke that one by offering vegetables instead of a lamb. The way they knew when they sinned is probably because they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
So even before the law of Moses, people knew what was right and wrong.

So you're saying if there isn't a written law then you don't know what evil is? Cain knew killing his brother was evil, he didn't need a rule book to tell him that. God created us with common sense, some people just don't seem to get it. Most of us, on the other hand, know the difference between good and evil without a rule book. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a few backwards people who needed that rule book, but like I said, I think most people used the common sense they were given.

Do you need a law to say Thou shalt not Kill to know that murder is wrong? No, because you know what is wrong and right going back to when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. These "wicked" people knew they were being wicked without the law, and you know what.....God knew they were wicked, too !!!

The Bible and the Ten Commandments are not the only way we know what is right. God gave us an inborn understanding of what is right, or conscience. We are expected to follow that even if we don't know that law, and if we don't, God calls us wicked.

Because when adam and eve sinned they made the human race inherently sinful even before there was a law to judge their sin by. Read Romans by the Apostle Paul.

Greetings,
Before needing words to relate to people the desires of God He was able to communicate one on one with his creations. What did He communicate to them??????? Do not eat of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden. What was the first thing His creation managed to do??????? EAT THE FRIUT OF THE TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GARDEN!!!!!!! So God communicated a law verbally to His creation by placing a prohibition on their conduct in the garden and they decided to disobey God,resulting in their being punished along with the rest of their subsquent heirs including us and those that will follow us until God's plan of redemption has been carried out. So when God declares a commandment to His creation it is to be considered as a law.NUFF SAID!!!!!!!

God didn't make up the law. He IS the Law. Thus, It has always been. Everything that lines up with his nature is right, or good. Everything that doesn't, isn't. That's the Law. Pretty simple really.

God is the only person that can judge people. If he says you are wicked, than you are wicked. God can see deep into a man, and see what they are Truly like, so he can judge them. Man cannot see deep into the souls, so we cant judge.
