Some great answers already - Sade has a voice like velvet, and Send Me - truly classic. I'd throw in The Way You Look Tonight by practically anyone, My Funny Valentine (Chet Baker), She's Got A Way by Billy Joel, Sunshine On My Shoulders (John Denver - I know, sounds like a weird one, but give it a try). Come Away With Me by Norah Jones. You've Got A Way by Shania Twain (maybe, but watch out for the drumbeat, it can get a bit much). Eva Cassidy's version of...well practically anything actually, but try "Ain't No Sunshine" for gentle sultry background music. Dido's "Thank You" is pretty unobtrusive but gives a positive vibe. David Gray's "This Year's Love" is a warm piano track with beautiful tribute-lines to anyone you're dining with. All time classic would be Bread's "If" - soft guitar and beatiful imagery. And one for if it's an already established relationship would be Roberta Flack's "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face".

Happy dining!

"Hold me" by Teddy Pendergrass. I'd even put a warranty on it. It will make the dinner romantic.
