They're the same God. God does not change. The change is in interpretation of the Bible. Oh, and Jesus isn't God, he is God's son. When has a son ever been equal to his father? Never.

God in the Old testament was not happy with what was happening with humanity . This is the reason for Noah. The New Testament is after the Human race was recreated starting from Benjamin. Besides, You need to read Matthew 16: God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son so that your sins can be forgiven

God in the Old Testament is a God of the law. God in the New Testament is the God of grace and mercy(love).Jesus Christ is the bridge between the different characteristics of the same God.

It does seem that way, huh? You know, maybe the best answer would be that we see God as the judge of sin in the Old Testament, which He is. In the NT, He's still the same, but those who accept Jesus as Saviour have replaced their sin with His righteousness. So, God no longer sees our sin but rather, sees the perfection of His Son. The focus of the New Testament then becomes the beauty of a relationship with God, rather than the pain of separation from Him.

I don't think so. Clearly, the Old Testament comes across as more "black and white" whereas the New Testament emphasizes the love of Jesus Christ through his shedding of the blood, thereby making a new covenant. I also think that in the Old Testament you see plenty of prophesy about what comes later in the New Testament. I think when Christ died for our sins it was to remind mankind that God truly is a loving God and that the religion of the Pharisees had been so perverted into a bunch of black and white rules that people had lost sight of God's love for us.

One God . Different people . as the people advanced in knowledge , it was time for a New Covenant. they were no longer ignorant to Gods ways . but like today ,the old timers were so stuck in their old law. they could not think there was any thing else to learn. they had been taught of the coming Messiah, but if they would have accepted the Messiah ,they would have had to set the people free from the Law , telling them the Precepts or Commandments of God hung on two precepts.. they did not want to do that Religious ones today are the same . God is ever teaching, and we should be ever learning. The Temple they served was not the Temple of God. the New covenant teaches us, we who are God's chosen are his temple, Jesus was the first "True Temple" and he said if they destroyed it, it would rise again in three days. And it did.

I've wondered about that alot, myself. I think part of the answer lies in Acts 7:43, where we learn that the Jews mixed the worship of gods known as Remphan and Moloch with their worship of the One True God. Indeed, Stephen tells us that the star we have so long associated with the Jewish faith actually is the star of Remphan, and we have all heard about the cruelty of Moloch.
Perhaps a great many of the cruel acts we read about in the OT as having been commanded by God actually ought to be attributed to these demonic idols, instead.
Then, again, God did not withold punishment from peoples who practiced some pretty nasty rites, such as child-sacrifice. Here's a frightening thought...if He was angry then...could He be a bit upset at our behavior today? It is only the grace of Jesus Christ that holds Him back today...but what will happen when the last prodigal comes stumbling Home, and God calls Time??

Greetings,
Were you a believer and knowledable as to the contents of the bible then you would not have to ask this type of worthless question and could have asked something more intelligent. The way that God is perceived in the scriptures is as He desires it and it is His will that the plan of redemption and salvation be carried out in the way He has prepared it. He declared to Moses that " I AM " and goes further to say in the scriptures that He is the one THAT WAS,THAT IS,and THAT WILL BE FOREVER.
