Displacement, measured in cubic centimeters (cc) is the difference between the capacity of all an engine's combustion chambers at the beginning and end of the combustion process. The cylinder head moves to compress fuel and air in the chamber by reducing its volume. So, if an engine had four cylinders and each cylinder changed the capacity by 325 cubic centimeters as it moved, then the total displacement of the engine would be 1300cc. Engines with a larger displacement typically provide more power, since they compress more fuel and air during each explosion.

Automobiles with less than 1000cc (or one liter) of displacement are not going to be very powerful, but motorcycles, which have less weight to move, can be very fast with only a 700cc engine.

Cubic Centimeters, it is a measure of the displacement of the engine. In other words how much of a volume is swept by the piston as it moves up and down in the engine.
typically more CC's indicate more power, because the piston is moving farther and producing more thrust on each cycle.

It means cubic centimeters, which refers to the total volume of the combustion chambers (cylinders) in the engine. Older american cars refer to the volume in cubic inches, 350 or 454 for example. The bigger the number, the more fuel it can burn at any one time, so the more power it will have. Generally.

cc stands for cubic centimeters, and when talking about an engine it means the volume of each combustion chamber. It is also seen as liters

the cc stands for the cubic capacity of the engine
the cubic capacity of engine depends on the volume of cylinder
greater the volume, higher the dimensions &/or no of cylinders.
higher would be the output of engine in terms of torque,
please note: higher cylinder dimensions means more fuel intake & subsequintly lower mileage
a four seater car is around 791cc, eg.maruti 800

cubic centimeters. I guess that means how many cc's there are in the engine in terms of pressure.

CCs is cubic centemerters, but that's not where the power comes from. It comes from how much fuel and air is displaced to turn the crank. ie 2.2 liter, 4.3 liter, so on.
