America is taking steps to become the unbiased nation of diversity that it set out to be so long ago. Religious Freedom was guarenteed in the Bill of Rights way back when the whole thing started. It wouldn't be appropriate for a Government to pick one religion over all the others and then have the gaul to call themselves a Melting Pot.

Think of it like this:

-What if the United States had a preferred Official Race?
-What if the United States had a preferred Official Government Party?
-What if the United States had a preferred Official TV Channel??

The preferred choice would be favored over all others. In fact, the others might eventually become the victims of phase outs and other conversionairy tactics. Don't believe me? The preferred official Language of the United States is English. Have a nice day.

they have no choice but to accept money stamped with a religious motto.

which is odd because there is no state religion in the united state, but there are a lot of christians out there who act as if christianity should have a place above the others just because the founding fathers coincidentally were christian too.

equality?

most of the founding fathers were actually deist anyway.

and it's spelled "hypocrites", not that it should be applied here. I don't see any other money accepted in the united states. I am not a christian, but I use american money because I have to. Am I a hyprocrite?

Even if this is an urban legend there's no reason to get all pissy about it. It's a can. It doesn't have much room on it to begin with.

Because the "god" referred to on the dollar bill is not the christian god. It is the god of freemasons. And that can be anything you wish.
