Why do Americans say "God bless America".I mean it would sound really weird if someone said"God bless Greece".

because they want God to bless America, one would assume. Most likely, if someone said "God Bless Greece", they'd say it in Greek. I don't know what Greek for "God Bless Greece" is, but I'm sure it's quite poetic.

Because of the American Dream. The Gold Rush, melting pot, etc. There are various reasons, it just has to do that with the idea that America is very powerful internationally.
