Lo! Allah forgiveth not that a partner should be ascribed unto Him. He forgiveth (all) save that to whom He will. Whoso ascribeth partners to Allah, he hath indeed invented a tremendous sin.

Christianity concept of salvation is to accept Jesus as savior/redeemer.

Judaism ( jews ) have no concept of salvation other than live a good life, and hopefully you go to heaven.

Islam doesnt really have a salvation plan for everyone. There are different ways, martyrdom, accepting Mohammed as messenger, and living straight in islam terms, and Islam still has the "Allah wills whom he chooses" clause, so you dont really know for sure, except through martyrdom.

Probably because the trinity isn't 3 seperate things, as indicated by the use of word "partner". The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are merely manifestations of the Lord. Like the burning bush or the whirling winds etc, etc. It may help to think of (and the Bible makes use of this, too) the trinity as the Person, his Mind and his Spirit. One thing; three ways to look at it. Just like us, and of course we are made in His image.

Now then, if I were to say that God was MARRIED to another deity, I think that is what is addressed here - polytheism. In the Bible "Thou Shalt Have No Other God Before Me" -- meaning not literally "before" but "with" "alongside" or even "prior to" -- as would happen if we partnered anything with God or Allah.

Islamic religion accepts christian and Jewish beliefs because they are "people of the book". The Old Testament being the first, the New Testament being the second, and the Koran being the third. Muslims were to be more tolerant of them than of someone of a different religion (not of the book) like Zoroastrianism for ex. Islam is actually a very understanding religion and beautiful religion, that unfortunately, not everyone gets to see because of some of the radical sects.

Because Muhammad borrowed from Judaism and Christianity without fully understanding them.

He thought the Father and Son were two gods, and many muslims think the trinity is three gods, or each person is only 1/3 god

Greetings,
Obviously you are misinformed scince the latest example of muslims forgiving a christian was made a month or so ago and that christian had to go in hiding from the muslim theocratic rulers to keep from getting his head chopped off for delaring that he was a muslim that believed in christianity. This made worldwide headlines so if you aren't familiar with this example then you should become more aware of the world around you and what is going on in it. YOU HAVE BEEN DUPED!!!

Actually, Islam is very accepting of Christians, as Allah said so in the Quran---

Surah 2 Verse 62. Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said---
"When the bier of anyone passeth by thee, whether Jew, Christian or Muslim, rise to thy feet."
Whenever a Jew, Christian, or Muslim passes by we should rise to our feet and give him/her the respect he/she deserves.

I suggest you refer to the following work: Yahiya Emerick's "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Islam" 2nd edition. It should be available through your local library system or bookstores or you can order it online from Amazon.com.

Islam traditionally has branched off from Christianity, which branched off from Judaism. Which makes it pathetically humurouse that no one gets along, despite believing in the same basics.

That means they have to forgive christians for believing what they do, but not to be on the same side as them. But funny thing we don't need to be forgiven by muslums....Jesus did it already and he for gave the muslums too.
