well if u sleep for at least half of the day you could have a sleeping disorder and sleeping alot can cause a person 2 b overweight because many people sleep and then get up and eat and go back 2 bed.......there is limited physical exercise that results in obesity

It depends, how late do you go to bed at night? If this is not an issue, you should probably see your doctor. Too much sleep or the requirement of more than usual sleep is not healthy. It could be your thyroid or other medical reason. Please see your doctor.

It depends on what you consider "a lot".

You could not be sleeping well during this time for some reason.

Or you might have something called "chronic fatigue syndrome"

If this continues to be a problem, you might see a sleep doctor...yes, they have those

Sleeping is great but a lot of sleep can symbolize depression.
