I am just guessing: Cincinnati :)

I went back to Google to check for sure. It was not invented in Ohio. According to Wikpedia, it was invented by T.A. Dorgan in Coney Island (1900)

You may be thinking of the hamburger. It was invented by two Ohio brothers, Frank and Charles Menches. They "showed" off their hamburger at the Erie County Fair in Hamburg, NY in the early 1900s.
